Over the course of your journey, you will meet patients, shadow doctors, work in clinical settings, observe surgery, and immerse yourself in the rich traditions, values, and customs of Greek culture that have evolved over thousands of years.

Our adventure will take place in the breathtaking and historic city of Athens, Greece. As the cradle of Western medicine and philosophy, Athens offers a one-of-a-kind setting for students to explore the origins of healthcare while experiencing a modern European city that pulses with energy, history, and innovation. From the steps of the Acropolis to the halls of world-class hospitals, Athens bridges the past and future of medicine.

Clinical rotations take place at Hygeia Hospital, one of Greece’s most respected and advanced private medical institutions. Known for its high standards of care, cutting-edge technology, and commitment to medical education, Hygeia offers students the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals across a variety of specialties. Under the guidance of licensed physicians, you will observe real-time procedures, interact with medical staff, and gain invaluable exposure to clinical environments that reflect global best practices.

Before we take off on our journey together, you will need to become fully oriented with the contents of this student portal. The most important step is to click the ‘Submit Documents‘ tab and complete all of the required items within that section as soon as possible. Any information we request is necessary and time sensitive. The second step is to review the ‘Handbook‘ tab. The handbook houses detailed information relevant to the program and students are encouraged to review the handbook multiple times leading up to the program as we will update it regularly. The final step is to take a look at the ‘General Resources‘ tab for additional information on the program.
